Our Family Childcare License Program equips aspiring childcare providers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully start and manage their own childcare business. Through comprehensive training, hands-on guidance, and essential safety and caregiving practices, we help participants meet state requirements and build a safe, nurturing environment for children. Whether you’re beginning a new career or expanding your qualifications, our program provides the support and tools you need to operate a professional and trusted childcare service.

Child Care Provider Support – Three-Stage Integration Model
Stage One – Pre-Licensing:
✔ Home readiness support, TrustLine guidance, safety standards
✔ DSS-compliant home audit for health & safety
✔ 125 participants per cycle complete orientation & safety certification
Stage Two – Licensing Support:
✔ Assistance with all licensing documentation
✔ Financial literacy and compliance training
✔ Business and liability insurance guidance
✔ Marketing and outreach support (flyers, brochures, branding)
Stage Three – Business Development:
✔ Six-month income follow-ups to ensure self-sufficiency
✔ Transition support from CalWORKs to independent childcare business ownership
Comprehensive Services Include:
✔ CPR / First Aid, Preventive Health & Safety trainings
✔ Live Scan fingerprinting and TrustLine processing
✔ TB testing, immunization screening, and application fee support
✔ Childcare supply kits & stipends for new providers
✔ Ongoing bilingual case management and technical assistance
